The Untimely Death of Councillor S.M.E Mtshali

It is with a deep sense of shock and sadness to learn of the passing away of Councillor SME Mtshali, a member of the Executive Council at AbaQulusi Municipality, dedicated patriot and a torch-bearer of development at AbaQulusi.

Councillor Mtshali was the previous Mayor of AbaQulusi from August 2016 to July 2017

He contributed enormously to the struggle for development. After the 2016 Local Government elections, he played a central role in consolidating and entrenching partnership in AbaQulusi council.

This distinguished icon of development lived a life of service to his people and leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and footprints of commitment.

We convey our sincere and deepest condolences to his family and comrades in the Inkatha Freedom Party. We hope they will have the strength to cope with this sad episode and dark cloud that has fallen on all of us.

May his soul rest in peace.
